I started drawing before I was of school age, as many do, and found that I am happiest with a combination of movement and art. Those have been the two loves of my life. My professional training in Graphic Design has provided me with a strong foundation in composition and color, which spills over into my love of painting. I have been involved in sports my entire life and have an undeniable appreciation of the art of human movement.

I love humor and whimsy and frequently put this into my art. Sometimes humor accidentally finds its way in while I’m busy cleaning my brushes. I present characters who I find lovable, for better or for worse. I may start with one story about what the scene entails, but as I paint, the characters sometimes change direction.

I earned my Bachelor degree in Physical Education after toying with the idea of art school. The lack of Physical Education  jobs when I graduated drove me in the direction of graphic design and art. This has proven to be a great combination for me.
